1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Zinc Ointment for use in veterinary.
1.2 The drug contains zinc oxide dispersed in ointment base. Each 100 g of ointment contains 10 g zinc oxide.
1.3 The drug is a dense homogeneous mass with white or pale yellow color without odor. Zinc ointment for veterinary is available in plastic containers by 100-1000 g.
1.4 The drug should be stored in a dry and dark place, within the temperature range +4°C to +25°C. Shelf-life is 3 years from the date of its manufacture under specified storage conditions.
2. PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
2.1 Zinc ointment has astringent, drying, anti-inflammatory and disinfectant actions.
3. DRUG USAGE PROCEDURE
3.1 The ointment is used topically for skin diseases (oozing wounds, burns, dermatitis, furunculosis, pyoderma, bedsores).
3.2 The ointment is applied by thin layer directly to affected skin surface 1-2 times a day until recovery.
3.3 The ointment causes no complications and has no side effects. There are no contraindications for its application.
3.4 There are no restrictions on slaughter of animals for meat and milk use for food purposes during ointment application.
4. CLAIMS PROCEDURE
4.1 In case of inconsistency of the drug with requirements of this Instruction, its use should be discontinued and reported to the Uzbek State Scientific and Veterinary Drugs Control Laboratory at: 700178, Tashkent, No.1a, A.Yunusov Street. Tel. / Fax: 228-76-14, 229-30 - 47. E-mail: email@example.com. Simultaneously unpacked drug package should be sent to the laboratory address with the drug in quantity previously agreed with laboratory including detailed description of the nature of complaints regarding its inconsistency with this Instruction.
