1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Glucose 5%, 10%, 25% and 40% solution for injection.

1.2 The drug is a colorless or light-yellow solution without mechanical impurities.

1.3 Glucose 5%, 10%, 25% and 40% solution is available in tightly capped bottles by 50, 100, 200, 250, 400, 450 and 500 ml.

1.4 This drug should be stored in dry place, protected from direct sunlight within the temperature range 0°C to +25°C. Freezing of the drug is allowed. Defrosting after freezing is desirable in the capped form. Shelf life is 2 years from date of manufacture if stored under specified storage conditions.

2. PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
2.1 Isotonic (5%) and hypertensive (10-40%) glucose solutions are used for veterinary purposes.

2.2 After intravenous injection of hypertension (10-40%) glucose solution osmotic pressure of the blood is increased, flowing of fluids and tissues into blood is increasing, metabolism processes are increasing, antitoxic liver function and heart function is improved, blood vessels are extended and diuresis is increased.
Glucose also stimulates synthesis of hormones and enzymes in animals and increases body's defenses.

2.3 Isotonic solutions of glucose are used to replenish body with fluid and easily digestible valuable nutritious material. Glucose in tissues is disintegrated, emitting energy that is used to strengthen function of organism.

 

3. DRUG USAGE PROCEDURE
3.1 Glucose is used against toxic infections, various intoxications (poisoning by mercury, arsenic, cyanide and its salts, carbon monoxide and other substances), liver diseases (hepatitis, cirrhosis), edema and gangrene of the lung and cardiac decompensation. Glucose is prescribed for treatment of gastrointestinal diseases with symptoms of intoxication, hypotension, atony of proventriculus in ruminants, acetonemia, postnatal hemoglobinuria, ketonuria and toxemia in cows and ketonuria in sheep.

Glucose solution is administered in weak and depleted animals as energy and dietary drug.

3.2 Depending on the disease severity the drug is administered intravenously 1-2 times daily at the following doses:

Treatment shall be repeated daily until disappear of disease symptoms.

3.3 Glucose solution does not cause complications and any side effects at recommended doses. There are no contraindications to its use.

3.4 During drug administration animal products are used for food purposes without restrictions.

 

4. CLAIMS PROCEDURE
4.1. In case of complications after drug administration its use should be discontinued and reported to the Uzbek State Scientific and Veterinary Drugs Control Laboratory at: 700178, Tashkent, No.1a, A.Yunusov str.,Tel/Fax: 228-76-14, 229-30-47. E-mal: uzgnkl@rambler.ru. Simultaneously unpacked drug package should be sent to the laboratory address with the drug in quantity previously agreed with laboratory including detailed description of the nature of complaints regarding its inconsistency with these Instructions.
